A powerful PTS strategy boosted by a novel discrete crow search algorithm for reducing the PAPR of UFMC signals

Abstract As being one of the main waveform candidates developed for meeting demands fifth generation (5G) and beyond telecommunication technologies, universal filtered multicarrier (UFMC) has various appealing features contributing to overcome many obstacles in wireless communication. However, due usage multiple subcarriers, UFMC signals suffer from having high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR), which be kept at low level prevent communication quality deteriorated. To problem PAPR signals, an advanced version partial transmit sequence (PTS) was created alleviation by integrating intelligent optimization algorithm place its random phase generator. this end, crow search (CSA) utilized. Initially, novel discrete called DCSA make it suitable employed optimization, is a type combinatorial solved space. After integration into conventional PTS, PTS variant named DCSA-PTS UFMC. Optimizing sequences via instead generating them way enhances performance scheme. Thanks DCSA-based becomes possible attain better combinations smaller number searches. The advantage using as optimizer supported simulation results. Due superior our DCSA, proposed strategy clearly outperforms other schemes considered paper.
